Zepbound vs Wegovy in Denver, CO: Which Weight Loss Injection Fits?
Zepbound vs Wegovy in Denver, CO
Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide) are both FDA-approved once-weekly injections for chronic weight management. They are related but not identical, and the better choice depends on your health history, goals, tolerance and budget. A TeleSlim Clinic physician can walk through both with you by video, from anywhere in Denver or across Colorado.

What the research shows
In a head-to-head clinical trial lasting 72 weeks, adults with obesity taking tirzepatide lost more weight on average than adults taking semaglutide. Averages hide wide differences between people, and a larger average does not mean one medicine is better for you. Tolerability, other health conditions, cost and pharmacy availability all matter.
Questions to discuss with your physician
- Do you have heart disease, sleep apnea or other conditions that affect which approved use matters most?
- How have you tolerated stomach-related side effects with other medicines?
- What does your pharmacy have in stock, and what is your monthly budget?
- Do you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2? If so, neither medicine is appropriate.
FAQs
Is Zepbound stronger than Wegovy?
They work differently, and on average tirzepatide produced greater weight loss than semaglutide in a head-to-head trial. Your own response, side effects and goals matter more than an average.
Can I switch from one to the other?
Your physician can discuss switching. Do not change doses or switch medicines on your own.
Can I get either one online in Colorado?
If a Colorado-licensed physician determines a medicine is medically appropriate after a video visit, a prescription can be sent to your pharmacy. Not everyone qualifies.
What it costs to find out
TeleSlim Clinic visits are self-pay: the initial consultation is $99, then $99 per month for physician follow-up, with savings on longer plans. Medication is a separate pharmacy cost, typically about $150 to $450 per month depending on the medicine and dose, and prices change over time. See our cost guide and insurance guide. We do not dispense medication and do not offer compounded GLP-1 medications.
